Scottish Football - Bad Day at the Office!
Aberdeen striker Dean Windass once received 3 red cards in the space of 22 minutes!
Booked in the first minute of Aberdeen's match against Dundee United in season 1997-8, Windass was shown a second yellow and sent off in the 22nd minute.
On the way off, a mouthful of abuse towards the referee gave Windass a second red. Furious, Windass stormed over to the corner-flag, ripped it out of the ground and threw it onto the pitch. The referee duly awarded Windass a third red card!
For this performance Windass was given 22 penalty points and suspended for a total of seven weeks! Aberdeen went on to lose the match 5-0!
