World Cup - Rise of the Machines?
Will robots take over the world? Or even worse the World Cup!
If you were a neighsayer you might want to revise your opinion because in 2007 the machines kicked off with the The Robo World Cup!
Held at Georgia Tech, the event included 321 teams from 37 countries competing in five different leagues: small-sized, medium-sized, simulation, humanoid and even four-legged.
And if those 5 categories weren't enough, there were also 2 "demonstration divisions" - thumb-sized and Nanogram robot soccer.
